Most everyday lower back discomfort is caused by muscular tension, not injury - which means relief is very possible.

Most of the time it’s a build-up of little habits rather than one big event:
🪑 Too much sitting or standing - static postures shorten your hip flexors and strain your back.
💪 Weak glutes or core - your lumbar muscles end up doing all the heavy lifting.
🧺 Awkward lifting or twisting - laundry, kids, boxes… it all adds up.
😣 Stress - tension makes your muscles “brace” even when you’re still.
🛏️ Sleep setup - the wrong mattress or pillow can keep your spine unhappy.
👟 Footwear - worn-out shoes can quietly throw your posture off.

1️⃣ Move every hour - stand, roll shoulders, stretch.
2️⃣ 90-second glute stretch - knee-to-shoulder, then figure-4 pose.
3️⃣ Hip-hinge when lifting - bend from hips, not your lower back.
4️⃣ Sleep tweaks - pillow between knees (side) / under knees (back).
5️⃣ Desk check - screen at eye level, feet flat, hips > knees.
